Privacy Policy

Last updated March 19, 2026

Prop Lens ("we," "us," or "our") provides a team workspace and production-management service (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

01

Information we collect

We collect information in the following categories:

  • Account and profile data. Such as your name, email address, avatar, identifiers from single sign-on providers (for example Google or GitHub) when you choose that sign-in method, and authentication-related data needed to operate your account.
  • Workspace and collaboration data. Content you or your organization add to the Service, including workspace and project metadata, tasks, schedules, contacts, production information, file uploads, comments, invitations, and role or permission settings.
  • Technical and usage data. Such as device or browser type, IP address, general location derived from IP, timestamps, diagnostic logs, and how you interact with the Service, collected automatically where permitted by law.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect the Service, remember preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work without them.
02

How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service;
  • Create and manage accounts, workspaces, projects, and permissions;
  • Process uploads, store content, and synchronize data across your devices;
  • Send service-related and transactional messages such as invitations, security notices, and account updates;
  • Provide support, troubleshoot issues, and detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
  • Comply with law and enforce our terms and policies;
  • Analyze usage in aggregate or de-identified form to improve reliability and user experience.
03

Legal bases (where applicable)

If laws such as the GDPR apply, we process personal data on bases including: performance of a contract with you (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, improvement, and communications that are not overridden by your rights), consent where we ask for it, and legal obligation.

04

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

  • With other users according to your workspace and project settings.
  • With service providers who help us run the Service (such as hosting, authentication, email delivery, analytics, and error monitoring), subject to confidentiality and appropriate safeguards.
  • For legal reasons if we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect rights, safety, or security.
  • In connection with business transfers such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, where information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
05

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where feasible.

06

Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

07

International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers of personal data.

08

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights, contact us as described below.

09

Children

The Service is not directed at children under the age where parental consent is required for our processing in your region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children.

10

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and adjust the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.

11
